Course for Roman Catholic Young Choristers 2016

Rosemary Field, Deputy Director of the RSCM, directed a three-day course in July at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark. The course was designed for choristers in Roman Catholic churches, and included a wide range of liturgical music and spiritual teaching, ending each day with a short act of worship in the Cathedral. This photograph includes choristers from Harrow on the Hill, St George’s Cathedral, St Mary’s Cathedral, Dublin and Middlesbrough Cathedral.

Christmas Midnight Mass on BBC1

Christmas Midnight Mass was televised live from St George’s Cathedral, Southwark by BBC1, and was sung on this occasion by the combined cathedral choirs - girls, boys and men. The Mass setting was William Lloyd Webber's Missa Princeps Pacis and the Communion motet was John Tavener's God is with us - where the extra lung-power of 32 choristers proved extremely valuable in the long-held chords!
